8-9 APRIL 2024 – LEUVEN

3D Organ Modelling in Health and Disease is the inaugural symposium of the organoid@KUL initiative (https://organoids-3dmodels.gbiomed.kuleuven.be), bringing together top researchers specialized in complex 3D models of organs/tissues and related enabling technologies.

The symposium is strategically designed to advance research in 3D organ/tissue modelling while at the same time responding to the 3R principle to replace, reduce and refine the use of animals in research. The initiative seamlessly integrates interdisciplinary expertise in complex 3D organ/tissue modelling, including organoids and (multi)organ-on-chip systems, with a specific focus on exploring human health and disease, especially in areas with high unmet medical needs. The symposium showcases an exciting line-up of international top-notch scientists in the field, as well as the opportunity for researchers to be selected based on abstract or poster.
