In December 2025, the third edition of the HealthTech Investor Summit brought together 500 of Europe’s most promising healthtech innovators, investors, and ecosystem leaders in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Across three days of pitching, partnering, and sharp conversations, one thing became clear: the future of healthcare is impact-focused, bold, ambitious, and already taking shape.
From medtech to digital solutions, this year’s pitch competition included 95 different companies from 20 different countries, all showcasing solutions with the potential to change lives at scale. We’re proud to highlight the winners of the HIS25 pitches, each selected as top of their category by a panel of investors. These are the companies that stood out for their vision, scientific excellence, and real-world impact.
🏆 Best Pre-seed Pitch Winner: Mynutia (BE)
Mynutia is redefining what’s possible in eye surgery. By developing state-of-the-art robotic technology, the team enables surgeons to improve existing therapies and perform treatments that were previously impossible.
Their surgical robots have the potential to give millions of visually impaired and blind patients a chance to regain their vision, that pushes the boundaries of precision, safety, and outcomes in ophthalmology. A powerful example of how robotics and healthtech can work hand in hand to restore quality of life.
🏆 Best Start-up Pitch Winners: ATRO Medical (NL) & Angiolutions (DE)
This year’s Best Start-up category was awarded to two standout companies tackling major unmet medical needs.
ATRO Medical is addressing chronic knee pain after meniscectomy with Artimis®, an innovative artificial meniscus designed to replace damaged tissue and restore mobility. Built on more than a decade of public-private collaboration between leading universities, industry partners, and clinicians, ATRO Medical’s solution combines biomechanical insight with advanced polymer technology. Currently in the clinical phase, Artimis® represents a significant step forward for patients suffering from long-term knee problems.
Angiolutions is revolutionizing the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), a life-threatening condition that often goes undetected until it’s too late. By developing the world’s first implant that targets the root cause of AAA, Angiolutions aims to intercept the disease at an early stage. Backed by an EIC Accelerator grant and funded by the European Union, the Angiolutions® A3-Shield® System represents a major breakthrough in vascular medicine.
🏆 Best Scale-up Pitch Winner: Precisis (DE)
Precisis is pioneering bioelectronic medicine with AI-driven technology that delivers targeted therapeutic currents to specific areas of the brain. Their minimally invasive approach allows precise activation or inhibition of brain cells, tailored to each patient’s condition.
Their flagship solution, EASEE®, has already received CE marking for the treatment of focal epilepsy, following strong clinical trial results demonstrating both safety and efficacy. With a diverse and highly committed team, Precisis is setting a new standard in neuromodulation and improving the lives of patients with neurological disorders.
🏆 People’s Choice Award: BIO INX (BE)
Voted by the audience, BIO INX took home the People’s Choice Award. The company focuses on the commercialization of advanced biomaterials and bio-inks for 3D bioprinting, drawing on decades of academic expertise in polymers and biomaterials.
BIO INX offers tailored solutions for multiple additive manufacturing technologies, supporting researchers and innovators who are building the next generation of bioprinted tissues and models.
🏆 DxPx Award Winner: Noscendo (DE)
The DxPx Award, which grants the winning company a free pitch slot at the DxPx Conference, was awarded to Noscendo.
Noscendo is transforming infection diagnostics through its metagenomic technology, DISQVER®, enabling clinicians to identify pathogens rapidly and without assumptions. By delivering precise diagnoses faster, Noscendo helps ensure patients receive the right treatment at the right time and ultimately saving lives and advancing modern medicine.
A Bright Future Ahead
The winners of the HealthTech Investor Summit reflect the strength and diversity of Europe’s healthtech ecosystem. As official media partner to the event — which is organized by Biovia — BioVox is proud to provide a platform for health innovations like these, so entrepreneurs can connect with the investors, partners, and decision-makers they need to turn ambition into reality.
Congratulations to all the winners and to every company that took the stage at HIS25. We hope to see you again next year when the Summit returns to Bruges, Belgium!
