LifeTechLimburg (Diepenbeek), together with comparable organizations from the Euregio such as LifeTech Zone (Maastricht), Life Tech Aken and Bio Liège organize Biomedica, an event with speakers from biotech, pharma, medtech and caretech. The even takes place for the first time in Genk and wants to interconnect health care in the Euregio and strengthen international relationships. Care and logistics is an important field in Limburg.
Next to the traditional oral presentations, I-sessions will be organized. In these sessions, people from a different background, such as scientists, CEOs, doctors, care provides and patients will have a round table discussion about a certain health topic. They will have the chance to exchange ideas on care and pharma. The topics for this year are fertility, infectious diseases, chronic diseases, cardiovascular diseases and ageing.
Biomedica will also house an innovation market, also known as Zorgidee. Here, about thirty novelties from the life tech sector will be shown in such a way to introduce interaction between care users and care providers.
About 600 people will attend Biomedica.
